Since its establishment, Logicode has positioned itself on the market as the first Romanian company specialized in barcode technology. This approach was beneficial, Logicode knowing a constant development, from year to year, with widespread use of barcodes on increasingly large scale.
At present, we position ourselves as a provider and integrator of labeling, industrial coding and automated data collection solutions. Along with market development and evolution of our company has emerged the need to strengthen our position as a specialist on several levels: the technology of barcodes, RFID technology, information technology and communications. We have succeeded through partnership agreements and certifications, completed with the quality management certificate ISO 9001:2000, which reflects the Logicode orientation towards customer and excellence.

Brief history


In March 1993 is founded AQ S.A., the first company in Romania specialized in barcode technology.


In March 1994, Logicode S.A. Romania became the distributor for U.S. company Intermec, a world leader in solutions for automated data collection using barcodes and the only manufacturer and supplier of the full range of products needed for barcodes.


In January 2000, Logicode S.A. Romania becomes the distributor for the american company Markem, a world leader in labeling and industrial coding systems for production lines. The solutions, based on InkJet, thermal, laser and Print & Apply technologies have applicability in the food industry, chemical industry and cosmetics, pharmaceutical industry, electronics industry, etc.


In February 2001, Logicode S.A. Romania became the distributor for U.S. companies Datamax and Avery Dennison, world leaders in label printing equipments relying on direct thermal and thermal transfer printing.


In 2003, Logicode S.A. Romania becomes a distributor for the Japanese company Casio, company globally recognized for its very good quality products at affordable prices.


In October 2003, Logicode S.A. becomes the distributor of Taiwanese company Syntech Information (CipherLAB), a strong and experienced company in the production of equipment for automated data collection.


In April 2006, following a rebranding process, AQ S.A. becomes LOGICODE S.A.


In July 2006, the company acquires the status of Microsoft Certified Partner.


In June 2007, in partnership with GS1 Romania - the standardization agency in the field of barcodes, Logicode organized a series of conferences entitled "EU - to be or not to be. From mandatory standards to business competitiveness "- on consumer goods traceability. The conferences were conducted in 4 of the largest cities in the country: Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj and Timisoara.


Following the implementation of quality management system ISO 9001, LOGICODE obtained the ISO 9001:2000 certificate, as a recognition of constant concern to improve internal processes.
